National Canadian Film Day Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary In Yonge-Dundas Square
On April 18th, 2023, join us at Yonge-Dundas Square from 4PM - 8PM as we kickoff the 10th anniversary celebrations of the National Canadian Film Day (CanFilmDay) hosted by Reel Canada.
National Canadian Film Day is celebrated every year on the 3rd Wednesday of April, and is the largest celebration of Canadian film with millions participating annually simply by watching a great Canadian film.
In light of these celebrations, Reel Canada invites the public to a meet-and-greet with Maurice the Moose, the official mascot of National Canadian film day, for fun, games, prizes and selfies right here at the heart of Yonge-Dundas Square.
Then on April 19, Reel Canada is throwing a big party to celebrate such a big milestone and you don’t want to miss it. If you are curious and excited to find out more about the celebrations and to join the party, make sure to check out their blog here.
Some of the 2023 spotlight films include Anne of Green Gables, Beans, The Captive, Crimes of the Future, Goon, Monsieur Lazar, Sleeping Giant, Room, just to name a few.
Visit canfilmday.ca for more information in the lead-up to April 19. You can also find them on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram: @CanFilmDay and #CanFilmDay.
