Seeking artists to create art installation for Montreal, Quebec City, London, and Toronto

Are you an artist with a vision for transforming public spaces? Do you want to be part of a global network of creative cities that promote culture and innovation? If so, you might be interested in the Call for Proposals by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN).

The UCCN project, brings together four Canadian member cities, Toronto, Quebec City, London, and Montreal, to co-produce and co-commission a participatory art installation for public space with a local organization. The project will be exhibited in each city, then tour. The City of Toronto is partnering with Yonge-Dundas Square. The deadline for expressions of interest is August 2.

Artists and creative teams are invited to develop a concept that includes each of the partner cities’ disciplines: literature (Quebec), design (Montreal), media arts (Toronto) and music (London). To take part, creative teams must come from one, two or more of the following partner cities. Collaboration among participants from every partner city is encouraged.
